MASK OUT OF ELECTRA white/blue
Code: 16240
The revolution starts today: be part of it with the OUT OF - Electra mask.
The option to replace the lenses in the mask appeared a long time ago and is quite convenient when skiing: when changing lighting or weather conditions, you simply change one lens for another. Especially convenient is the quick replacement of lenses, when everything can be done quickly. But how many people carry this interchangeable lens with them or check the weather before going to the ski lift?
To make life on the slope even easier, more comfortable and safer, OUT OF made a mask with built-in photocell technology and a lens with liquid crystal film, self-contained electronics controls the darkening of the lens to the light that it receives from the outside, in 9 hundredths of a second without any batteries and accumulators.
- When you ride in the sun:
Sunlight powers a photovoltaic cell that generates power and at the same time "tells" the electronics how much light is getting into your eyes. In the sun, the lens is fully activated with a transmission of about 18% (S3).
In this light, it is quite comfortable with a standard S3 lens.
- Then you enter the shaded area:
The light is reduced by a factor of 20, your eyes are trying to adapt, but it takes about ten seconds, during which time you could drive about 200 meters without seeing the correct shape of the slope.
Even The One photochromic polarized lenses require too much time to adapt, as much or more than your eyes
Electra reaches the desired brightness in a few hundredths of a second, your eyes do not get tired, and you can see in the shadows from the first meters.
- Electra uses full dynamic range:
Photochromic lenses always remain partially activated outdoors, this is because UV rays are present in lesser quantities also in the shade or on cloudy days. This is the natural limit of photochromic technology, which sometimes causes photochromic lenses to be too dark.
Electra is controlled by offline electronics, the mask has complete control over when and how the lens should be activated, in the shade the liquid crystal film remains completely deactivated with a transparency of about 38% (S2), which is almost the same as S1 (it starts at 44%).
