Ronix has taken the common design aspects of its popular Top Notch Pro series and for the first time added a spine to a cable core. Typically, they put vertical wood in special pockets for strength, then horizontal wood in other areas for extra feel and bigger presses. Ronix has developed a new spine where the strength runs like a stringer on a surfboard, from the tip to the tail, then leaves most of the outer surface with a much softer horizontal wood. With Atmos, you have a fulcrum that runs the length of the board, not just in certain pockets, allowing more of the board to move from side to side.
